100 or less word bio: Bhumi B Patel is the queer, desi Artistic Director of pateldanceworks (she/they, please) creating work at the intersection of embodied research and activism. Her work involves dancing, choreographing, curating, educating, writing, and scholarship as a pursuit for liberation, with the time and space to decolonize the body. Bhumi is a member of Dancing Around Race and has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, Contact Quarterly, Life as a Modern Dancer, and InDance.
