Adriann Ramirez – New Opulence Arts

I admire artists who are able to create a world revolving around a concept and vocabulary unique to themselves.  I always strive to reroute a specific moment in time; a moment that sticks with me as something that I need to continue further exploring.  I am quite taken with pop culture and pull a lot of inspiration form couturiers, painters, musicians and literature.

Adriann Ramirez is a performer/choreographer/film maker who is based in London, England and the San Francisco Bay Area.  He has been a member of Push Dance Company since 2012, first performing as a soloist in Artistic Director Raissa Simpson’s ‘Bitter Melon’.  Under his own collective, NEW OPULENCE ARTS, his choreography has been showcased at various venues throughout San Francisco such as Zaccho Dance Theater and the Terra Gallery.  His first short film, CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’, was premiered at the Deep Desires and Broken Dreams Gay Film Festival in London, England and at the Frameline International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in San Francisco.  NEW OPULENCE ARTS was created in order to provide a platform for artists who are interested in a collaborative approach to creativity and creation.
